Our Story

Bosch Camille is a family startup idea born during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the way we work, study, and live drastically changed. With everyone at home, families faced challenges sharing spaces for work and study. We saw parents working alongside their children and flatmates and students struggling in confined spaces. This inspired us to create solutions for these new lifestyle demands.

Committed to Protecting our Planet.

We are two brothers with a vision to leave this planet a little bit better than we found it. Camilo, a reputable Architect and Industrial Designer, is the creative genius behind our Teak Workstation, designed to solve the challenges of working from home. His innovative design earned us our very own Australian Innovation patent. Julian, a renowned fine and mural artist, has created largescale murals adorning many walls in Melbourne, Australia, and around the world. Both of us are deeply passionate with sustainability and committed to protecting our planet.

We Aim to have a Purpose

Our mission goes beyond creating a product that provides people in small spaces with an organised workspace that takes no extra floor room. We aim to have a purpose, an essence, and a reason to exist beyond merely manufacturing furniture. We are dedicated to contributing to the positive impact of cleaning the oceans from one of humanity's main problems: plastic pollution.

Making a Difference

We are acutely aware of the disastrous scale of plastic pollution issues around the world, especially in our oceans and rivers. Plastic is everywhere, even in our bodies as microplastics consumed through food and water. It is easy to feel discouraged and wonder how any of this could ever be solved once and for all. We know it is going to take many years and maybe generations to solve this, and we know we don't have the capability to solve the ocean plastic pollution issues, but we do have the ability to make a difference and do what is right.

Creating a Sustainable Future

Despite the significant efforts from private companies, NGOs, and governments to clean the oceans, the next question arises: What do we do with the monumental amounts of plastic extracted from the oceans today? At Bosch Camille, we strive to answer this question finding innovative solutions to repurpose this plastic waste, turning it into valuable products and helping to create a sustainable future.

Our Mission

We started small with our Teak WorkStation, designed to solve the problem of limited space for people working or studying in small areas like bedrooms, studios, offices, or apartments. But what if this product could also utilise plastic extracted from the ocean?

A Life Commitment

What if we can engineer a process that takes plastic particles extracted from the ocean and incorporates them into the raw materials used to create the boards for our furniture? During our sourcing phase, we discovered that producing this new engineered plastic/wood material required a minimum order quantity of 2,000 pieces, a substantial investment we couldn't initially afford. Firm in our purpose, we proceeded to invest all of our life savings into producing an initial batch of 300 units of our Teak WorkStation using the high-quality engineered wood available. By committing ourselves to selling this initial batch, Our goal with your help is to fund our next production run, incorporating ocean plastic particles into our materials.

This is just the first step in our journey. Our goal is to develop this new raw material, incorporating ocean plastic, and manufacture our furniture from it.
